Desi Dosa Madras is the result of Pathmaraj Prasad’s passion and desire for opening a South Indian restaurant in the Lower Mainland that serves nothing but genuine, authentic South Indian cuisine to its patrons.

Pathmaraj was born and raised in Sri Lanka and his ancestry originated from Tamil Nadu, Madras. Very early in his life, he recognized his passion for cooking and serving others delicious food items. With the help and support of his family, Pathmaraj is living his life-long dream… While South Indian foods are common today and are available at many restaurants in every major city, they are mostly made by chefs who are unfamiliar with the true art of South Asian cooking unlike our qualified cooking staff.

Dosa originates in the southern Indian state of Madras (now known as Chennai) and our chefs at Desi Dosa Madras have been brought here to serve genuine South Indian dishes

We aspire to ensure that all our meals are classified as authentic South Indian cuisine and strive to bring flavours that tantalize the Western tastebuds.
