Created in 1999 by the amalgamation of Deltassist Community Services and
Delta Family Services societies, Deltassist provides a wide range of services
for individuals and families. Deltassist is a non profit society governed by a
volunteer Board of Directors and employs professional staff as well as a large
number of volunteers. Programs offered include parenting support, specialized
counseling covering a range of needs including: substance abuse, suicide
prevention, violence, and support for young parents. Community programs
include: seniors support services, community fund, information and referral,
Christmas Bureau, income tax preparation, and legal aid.
